Controversy
A Korean novel was released in recent years called "Chi You King of Heaven" (蚩尤天皇). Controversially, this book claimed Chi You was of Korean ancestry in the old ancient country (Joo Shin, ?? in Korean), and that he defeated the Yellow Emperor at the tak rok.
Chongqing University professor (?中模) said this recent historical novel could not be taken seriously. Southwest University historians (趙振宇) have also denied the claims in the novel.

Koreans always say how they are smart but they blindly believe fantasic history they read or saw on novels and movies.
Here is Chiyou from a Korean Hwanpa book "Portraits of Hwanin"
bae14-chiwooAaaa.pngThey don't even have ancient painting of Chiyou.
Why they want Chiyou to be Korean?
Because he's a popular character in video games?
